Cottonwood Cove, South Coyote Buttes

Cottonwood Cove, South Coyote Buttes

Every new turn opened up evolutionary pages, volumes of time, and the beauty of it overwhelmed me. The tears came as I touched the petrified dunes, the dinosaur tracks and the fragile, eroding shelves of sandstone. It was as if the landscape was all written in an ancient braille and I was reading it with my fingertips. Steve had been here hundreds (maybe thousands) of times and knew the place I was in. He smiled and said it best, "If this place doesn't inspire you I'm not sure what will."
